The FLNG vessel Hilli Episeyo, located offshore Kribi in Cameroon, shipped its first fully laden LNG cargo today onboard the 138,000 cbm Galicia Spirit. According to the AIS data, the LNGC is heading to Qidong LNG terminal in China.

This shipment marks the start-up of the second LNG export project using an FLNG vessel and Cameroon becomes the 20th LNG exporting country.

Hilli Episeyo is a conversion of the LNG carrier Hilli and it started to produce LNG in March 2018.

The project’s shareholders are Perenco, Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Golar LNG.

Gazprom Marketing & Trading, the sole offtaker, has committed to buy 1.2 MTPA of LNG from the project over eight years.
