Fluxys LNG announced today that it has taken an FID for the construction of a second truck loading station at the Zeebrugge LNG Terminal. The construction of the new facility is set to start in spring 2018 and to be commissioned before summer of the same year.

The number of LNG truck loadings has been rising exponentially in Northwest Europe the past few years, spurred on by the EU’s increasingly stringent regulations regarding emissions. In Zeebrugge, LNG trucks and trailers can be loaded with 40 to 50 m³ LNG since 2010 and over 5,000 loadings have left the terminal by road and by ferry.
