INPEX offtakes first carbon neutral LNG from Ichthys

INPEX announced offtake of the first carbon neutral LNG the Ichthys LNG Project, which it operates in Australia. The carbon neutral cargo was received at its Naoetsu LNG terminal in Japan. The carbon footprint of the cargo from upstream production to combustion in Japan was offset using carbon credits related to global forest conservation projects in an arrangement with Ichthys’ major partner TotalEnergies.
