A new offshore LNG receiving terminal in Le Havre (France) with a 50 TWh/y regasification capacity, developed by TotalEnergies with the support of the French Minister of Ecological Transition, will enter service by mid-September 2023. TotalEnergies recently ran a non-binding call for interest for LNG import and regasification capacity at the Le Havre FSRU project to be made available for its 5 years of operation. The test resulted in a significant excess of demand (12 BCMA) over the offered capacity (2.5 BCMA). A binding open season is expected to be launched in March 2023.
