Contract signed to build and charter an FSRU in Wilhelmshaven

MOL and LTW (LNG Terminal Wilhelmshaven) have signed a contract to build and charter for 20 years - an FSRU in Wilhelmshaven on the North Sea. The FSRU which will have a 263,000m3 storage capacity will make it possible to offload, store and regasify LNG for the German market.

SPA between Petronas and TCEL

PETRONAS LNG Ltd. (PLL), a subsidiary of Petronas, has recently concluded a SPA with Tiger Clean Energy Limited (TCEL) for the supply of LNG to TCEL’s LNG ISO Tank Filling Facility located at Bintulu, Sarawak in Malaysia. The delivery of the LNG to China will be undertaken by TCEL, which will then be distributed to remote locations using TCEL’s ISO tanks.  This solution enables to reach remote customers located away from physical LNG pipelines and customers with smaller requirements.

Cameron LNG starts production at Train 3

Cameron LNG has begun producing LNG from the third and final liquefaction train of its Phase 1 liquefaction-export project in Hackberry, Louisiana, after completion of all major construction activities, commissioning and start-up process over the past few months. In April, the facility began receiving gas flow for testing as it reached the final stage of the commissioning process. The Cameron LNG liquefaction-export Phase 1 project includes three liquefaction trains with a projected export of 12 mtpa of LNG or approximately 1.7 bcf/d.

First ship-to-ship operation in France

The first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation has taken place in the port of Marseille, where Shell has supplied LNG to Carnival’s Costa cruise ship, Smeralda, via Anthony Veder’s converted LNG bunkering vessel Coral Methane.

NLNG Train 7 EPC contracts awarded

The EPC contracts of the Nigeria LNG Train 7 Project to be executed at the Bonny Island LNG complex have been awarded to Saipem, in joint venture with Daewoo E&C Co. Ltd and Chiyoda Corp. (SCD JV). The overall value of the contracts is in excess of US$4 billion.
