Bahrain LNG completes construction

Bahrain LNG announced that it has completed the mechanical construction and commissioning of its LNG import terminal located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain LNG is jointly owned by the Oil and Gas Holding Company and a consortium consisting of Teekay LNG Operating, Gulf Investment Corporation and Samsung C&T Corporation. The Terminal comprises of an FSU, an offshore LNG receiving jetty and breakwater, an adjacent regasification platform, subsea gas pipelines from the platform to shore, an onshore gas receiving facility, and an onshore nitrogen production facility.

Shenergy signs 12-year LNG HOA with PETRONAS

PETRONAS LNG signed an HOA with Shenergy Group Company to supply approximately 1.5 MTPA of LNG to its Wuhaogou receiving terminal in China. The LNG supply agreement is for a 12-year term starting from 2022. It also involves a shipping collaboration to construct and charter new mid-sized LNG vessels for the cargo delivery.

Fos Tonkin facility continues operations until 2028.

Elengy announced that the Fos Tonkin terminal will continue operations until 2028. The proposed regasification capacity of 1.5 bcm per year has been entirely booked. This commitment has enabled Elengy to take the investment decision needed to extend the site's activity beyond 2020. The company is now working on the development of the loading capacities for small LNG vessels in order to provide the market with the required services to support the growth of LNG as marine fuel.

Freeport LNG starts commercial operations for Train 2

Freeport LNG announced the start of commercial operations for the second liquefaction train, of its three train facility, with the commencement of gas deliveries from BP under its 20 year tolling agreement with Freeport. Freeport LNG’s Train 1 began commercial operations last month, with the commencement of Osaka Gas’ and JERA’s tolling agreements. Train 3 remains on track for a commercial start date in May.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation signs 15-year LNG SPA with QP

Qatar Petroleum and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation entered into a long term SPA for the supply of up to 3 MTPA of LNG to the State of Kuwait. Under the 15-year agreement, LNG deliveries to Kuwait’s receiving terminal at Al-Zour Port will commence in 2022.
