GDF SUEZ signs long term LNG sale to CPC of Taiwan
GDF SUEZ announced the signature of a Heads of Agreement providing for the sale of LNG under a long term agreement with CPC Corporation of Taiwan (CPC). Under the terms of the agreement, GDF SUEZ will deliver 800,000 tons per year of Liquefied Natural Gas to CPC on a 20-year period starting 2018. LNG will be sourced from the Cameron LNG plant in the USA.

Panama Canal 73% complete
As of March 18, 2014, the total expansion project had an advancement of around 73%. Due to a dispute between the Canal and the contractor in charge of building the new locks (GUPC), completion date has been moved to the end of 2015.

President Dispenza to speak at 8th Asia LNG Summit in Beijing
President Dispenza will deliver a speech on LNG supply and demand during the 8th Asia LNG Summit 2014.
Supported by CNOOC, CNPC and Sinopec,the summit will be held in Beijing on May 27th and 28th, 2014.

Panama Canal Expansion Program 72 % complete
In a letter signed by Panama Canal Authority's CEO Jorge Quijano and dated January 3, 2014, The Panama Canal Authority reasserted its commitment to successfully complete the canal expansion program. The letter followed news relating a dispute between the Panama Canal Authority and the contractor in charge of the new locks, Grupo Unidos por el Canal S.A (GUPCSA).
According to Mr. Quijano's letter: "the Expansion Program has an overall completion rate of 72 percent and the new locks project, which is one component of the expansion program, is 65 percent complete. The project is expected to be open to commercial transits by mid-2015".
