Following the agreement reached in December 2020 between Eni, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, EGAS and Naturgy, the Damietta liquefaction plant in Egypt resumed operations. The first LNG cargo, after the 5 MTPA terminal was shut down in 2012, was lifted on 21 February 2021.
