Novatek sells stake in its LNG transshipment subsidiary to Total

Novatek signed an HoA with Total on the sale of a 10% participation interest in its cargo transshipment subsidiary, Arctic Transshipment LLC. The subsidiary is planned to operate two LNG transshipment complexes currently under construction in the Kamchatka and Murmansk regions, which are aimed at optimizing the logistics of LNG transportation from Arctic LNG 2 and other Novatek’s projects. LNG will be transshipped from Arc7 ice-class LNG tankers to conventional LNG carriers at each location. Each transshipment complex includes a 360 000 m3 FSU with two ship-to-ship transshipment points.
