Petronas FLNG Dua produces first LNG

Petronas has commissioned its first deep water FLNG facility, PFLNG Dua, capable of reaching gas fields in water depths up to 1.5 km. The first LNG cargo from the facility is expected be delivered to customers by middle March 2021. The project is realized in collaboration with Petronas’ upstream Production Sharing Contract partner, PTT Exploration and Production. Currently located at the Rotan gas field, 140 km off Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the 1.5 MTPA, PFLNG Dua is the company’s second FLNG facility, with the 1.2 MTPA PFNG Satu, which has been in operation since 2017.
