Qatargas signs LNG SPA with PetroChina

Qatargas announced on September 10 that it has signed a 22-year SPA with PetroChina. Under the SPA, which will end in 2040, Qatargas will supply China with around 3.4 MTPA from the Qatargas 2 project, a joint-venture between Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total. The first cargo is expected to be delivered to China before the end of September. The SPA allows the possibility to deliver LNG to various receiving terminals including the Dalian, Jiangsu, Tangshan and Shenzhen LNG receiving terminals, utilizing Qatargas’ fleet of 70 conventional, Q-Flex and Q-Max LNG vessels.
