Qatar Petroleum entered into a 10-year SPA with Shell for the supply of 1 MTPA of LNG to China starting from January 2022. Qatar Petroleum plans to supply the LNG volumes from its Qatargas 1 venture, which will become 100% owned by Qatar Petroleum as of January 1st 2022. This agreement brings total long term LNG volumes supplied from Qatar to China to approximately 12 MTPA.
