Sempra and RWE sign 2.25 MTPA deal

Sempra Infrastructure and RWE Supply & Trading signed a 15-year SPA for the supply of approximately 2.25 MTPA of LNG from the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project, delivered on an FOB basis. The agreement also provides a framework to lower the carbon intensity of LNG produced from the plant through GHG emission reduction and mitigation strategies. FID for Phase 1 of the project is expected in the first quarter of 2023, with first cargo deliveries expected in 2027.
