The Hiroshima Declaration emphasizes the critical role of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in ensuring a stable, well-supplied, and lower-carbon global energy system.

It highlights that LNG is an essential component of energy security and how LNG provides a cleaner alternative for industrial processes, power generation, and transportation.

The Declaration also acknowledges the importance of flexible, reliable gas infrastructure in complementing renewable energy ensuring grid stability and facilitating a green energy future for carbon-free fuels like bio-LNG and e-LNG.

The Hiroshima Declaration outlines the LNG industry’s commitment to a greener future through technologic innovations aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and methane emissions though the value chain, ensuring LNG remains a key enabler in the global energy transition.

This Declaration, presented to the press by Mr. Jean Abiteboul and Mr. Takashi Uchida seeks the understanding and cooperation of governments, related institutions, companies, and organizations to allow LNG’s key contribution in maintaining a secure and low-carbon global energy system.
