Alexandroupolis FSRU kicks off works

On May 3, 2022 a ceremony was celebrated to mark the start of the works of the Alexandroupolis FSRU project by Gastrade SA.
The FSRU, will have a capacity of 153,500 m3 of LNG and will be connected to the National Natural Gas Transmission System of Greece with a 28 km long pipeline. The regasified LNG will be transported to the markets of Greece, Bulgaria and the wider region (Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia etc.), with the potential of supplying Ukraine as well.
The Alexandroupolis FSRU is expected to operate by the end of 2023. 60% of its technical regasification capacity, that is 5.5 bcm/y has already been booked.
