Cheniere and Shell collaborate on delivery of carbon neutral LNG cargo

Cheniere has supplied a carbon-neutral LNG cargo from its Sabine Pass LNG facility in Louisiana to Shell as part of the companies’ SPA. The full lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions associated with the LNG cargo were offset by nature-based carbon credits, purchased from Shell’s global portfolio of nature-based projects with Cheniere purchasing the portion attributable to estimated CO2 emissions from upstream activities, including production and liquefaction.
