DESFA takes stake in the Alexandroupolis project

DESFA SA, owner and operator of the National Natural Gas Transmission System of Greece, has acquired 20% of shares of Gastrade SA. The new shareholder agreement was signed on November 4, 2020 by the existing shareholders Mrs. Elmina Kopelouzou, GasLog Cyprus Investments Ltd and DEPA Commercial SA, Bulgartransgaz EAD, the new shareholder DESFA SA and the company Gastrade SA. Gastrade is developing the Alexandroupolis Independent Natural Gas System project, an LNG FSRU located offshore 17.6 km southwest of the port of Alexandroupolis in Greece.
DESFA’s shareholders are SENFLUGA S.A. (Snam S.p.A., Enagás S.A., Fluxys and DAMCO S.A.) with 66% and the Greek State with 34%.
