On September 8, the EemsEnergyTerminal, a floating LNG receiving terminal in Eemshaven (Netherlands), received its first LNG cargo from Sabine Pass LNG on board Murex LNG carrier. The terminal comprises two FSRUs: the Eemshaven LNG (Exmar) and the Golar Igloo (New Fortress Energy) which are leased for a period of 5 years. The installation was successfully tested, and the first natural gas started to flow into Gasunie’s gas network on September 19. The terminal is expected to be fully operational by late November or early December.
