Enagás kicks off open season for El Musel LNG

Enagás has launched an open season for logistics services at El Musel LNG terminal in Gijón. The process includes a first non-binding phase in which market participants express their interest in the services offered by the LNG terminal for unloading, storage and loading operations, on an unregulated access basis. Under the regulated access regime, El Musel terminal will only offer the essential regasification service for the proper management of the terminal, as well as the tank loading service. After the first phase, a binding phase will take place in which market participants bid for the capacity. The process will end with the allocation of long-term logistics services.
El Musel terminal recently received approval from the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) for its special economic regime as a logistics facility. The approval process for the terminal is in its final stage with pending final formalities.
