First carbon-offset LNG cargo for the Caribbean

AES, a US energy company, received the first carbon-offset LNG cargo for the Caribbean region at its Andres LNG terminal in the Dominican Republic. The cargo was delivered by 154 500 m3LNG Unity from Cameron LNG in the US. The carbon footprint of the cargo, from extraction to shipping, will be offset with carbon credits coming from the company’s renewable energy projects around the world.
