Freeport LNG resumed LNG production and exports on February 11, since a fire incident took place in June last year.

On February 21, Freeport LNG received regulatory approval to start commercial operations in one of its liquefaction trains and to restart and fully return to service its second train.

On March 8, Freeport LNG received regulatory approvals from the FERC and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) to restart Train 1, which is the final train of Freeport LNG’s three train liquefaction facility to receive the approvals.

A conservative ramp-up profile to establish full three-train production around 2 bcf/d is expected to occur over the next few weeks. Operations are initially utilizing two out of three of Freeport LNG’s storage tanks and one of its two LNG berths. The second LNG berth and third LNG storage tank are expected to return to service in May.
