The Guangdong government has teamed up with the CSSC and CNOOC to implement a project that promotes conversion to LNG power for inland waterway vessels. It will include the conversion of 1500 inland vessels and the construction of 19 bunkering facilities by 2025, which will increase the demand of LNG as a bunker to 400,000 tonnes per year, reducing NOx and PM by 12.6 % and 19.5% respectively.
