LNG Croatia starts commercial operations

The first Croatian LNG terminal, located in Omišalj municipality on the island of Krk (Croatia), started commercial operations as scheduled. Tristar Ruby LNG carrier arrived on the 1st January 2021 at the Krk terminal and started unloading LNG to the FSRU LNG Croatia. The unloading procedure has taken 3 days. The FSRU facility, purchased from and operated by Golar LNG Limited, has a technical capacity of 2.6 Bcma. The project is created to meet Croatian energy needs as well as to supply natural gas to the countries of Central and Southeastern Europe.
