Glenfarne Group LLC and Kinder Morgan have asked the FERC for a 5 year extension to complete the Magnolia LNG export plant and associated gas pipeline expansions. FERC’s initial approval required companies to complete the project by 2021, however the companies have asked for an extension due to a decrease in global energy demand. The Magnolia LNG plant  has been designed to produce 8.8 million MTPA.
