Oman LNG signs 7-year LNG contract with BP Singapore

Oman LNG and BP Singapore Pte. Ltd announced today the signing of an SPA for the supply of LNG to BP Singapore. 

The SPA, a FOB contract starting January 2018, will span over a period of 7 years lifting 1.1 MTPA, which is equivalent to approximately 18 LNG cargoes annually.

Oman produced its first shipment of LNG in 2000 after the first of an initial two-train plant began operations under Oman LNG. A third train started to produce under Qalhat LNG in 2005. Both companies merged in 2013 and the three trains are now operated by Oman LNG.

Oman LNG operates as a joint venture with a shareholding structure comprising the Government of Oman (51%), Shell Gas B.V (30%), Total S.A. (5.54%), Korea LNG (5%), Mitsubishi Corporation (2.77%), Mitsui & Co. (2.77%), Partex (Oman) Corporation (2%), and Itochu (0.92%).
