Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil take FID for Golden Pass LNG

Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil have taken the FID for developing the Golden Pass LNG export project, located in Sabine Pass, Texas. The project is owned by Golden Pass Products, a joint venture between affiliates of Qatar Petroleum (70%) and ExxonMobil (30%).
The Golden Pass LNG export facility will have a liquefaction capacity of about 16 MTPA and the project’s EPC contract was awarded to a consortium comprising Chiyoda, McDermott and Zachry. Air Products was selected to provide the liquefaction technology.
