Sinopec has started construction of the LNG tanks included in the second phase of the Tianjin LNG terminal project. Phase two includes the construction of five LNG tanks, each with a storage capacity of 220 000 m3, and a berth for LNG vessels. The project is due to be completed by the end of 2021, by which time the terminal’s capacity will be expanded to 10.8 MTPA. The current capacity of the terminal is 6 MTPA.
