The Philippines to build LNG terminal

First Gen has received approval to construct a floating LNG terminal together with Tokyo Gas. The terminal will cost $300 million and it will consist in modifying an existing liquid fuel transport jetty near one of First Gen’s gas-burning electrical plants on the coast of the main island of Luzon. Its construction will start in October 2020 and it is scheduled to be completed by third quarter 2022.
