Venture Global took FID on Plaquemines LNG Phase II

Venture Global LNG took an FID on the second phase of the 20 MTPA Plaquemines LNG facility and issued a full notice to proceed to KZJV to continue construction on phase two of the project. The company also announced the closing of the $7.8 Bn project financing for phase two, out of $21 Bn of investment in total for phases one and two. Plaquemines LNG has received all necessary permits, including authorization from FERC and a non-FTA export authorization from the DoE. Customers of phase two at Plaquemines LNG include ExxonMobil, Chevron, EnBW, New Fortress Energy, China Gas, Petronas and Excelerate Energy.
