Vietnam, ready to start construction of its first LNG terminal

The consortium that will construct the Tibai LNG terminal in Vietnam is set to build the facility in the coastal area southeast of Ho Chi Minh City.The facility will provide natural gas to the Nhon Trach combined cycle power plant.

The terminal includes a 180,000-cbm LNG storage and will be constructed over a 40-month period starting on June 30, 2019. It is expected to be completed in October 2022.

The consortium that will carry out the construction includes Samsung C&T and Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC).
