President

Jean Abiteboul is Founder & CEO of JA Energy Consulting. Until November 2016, Jean was Senior Vice-President International and Executive Officer of Cheniere Energy, Inc., (AMEX: LNG) as well as President of its subsidiary Cheniere Marketing Ltd. Graduated with a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and in Economics, he began his career with Gaz de France (now Engie) in 1975, where he held various positions in the Distribution, Transmission and International Divisions, and served on the Board of Directors of affiliated companies worldwide. In 1998, he was nominated Executive Vice-President in charge of Gas Supply. From 2001, he was simultaneously President of Gaselys, the energy trading subsidiary of Gaz de France and Société Générale. He was appointed Executive Vice-President for Supply, Trading and Marketing in 2002, International Executive Vice-President in 2003, and Advisor to the Chairman and CEO, Secretary of the Board of Directors of Gaz de France and responsible for the outside general representation of the Group in 2004. Jean left Gaz de France in 2006 to become Senior Vice President International of Cheniere Energy, Inc., and from 2010 President of Cheniere Marketing, position he occupied until his retirement in 2016. In November 2020, Jean was appointed GIIGNL President as well as non-executive Director of Tellurian, Inc. (NASDAQ: TELL)
